Karthika Rajeeve, PhD

Global Collaborator

Dr. Karthika Rajeeve is an infection biologist with 18 years of expertise in human pathogens Chlamydia trachomatis, Chlamydia pneumonia. Her laboratory focuses on host pathogen interactions, cell biology and translational research. Her research mainly focus on how human pathogens manipulate the host biology to ensure survival, persist evades the host immune clearance.

The lab employs advanced 3D human uterine/gut/lung organoids alongside molecular and immunological approaches. By bridging molecular microbiology, immunology, and organoid models, the aim to uncover new biomarkers, vaccine design, and develop host-directed therapies beyond antibiotics.
