
Dr. Ken is a leading stem cell and bioengineering expert in the region, serving as Associate Professor at New York University and iCeMS, Kyoto University. He earned his PhD from the prestigious Tokyo Institute of Technology and received advanced training at UCLA.
His pioneering research centers on the development of a 3D miniature, all-inclusive device known as the “Body on a Chip.” This innovative platform replicates the physiological and pathological conditions of living systems in vitro. His research aims to advance drug discovery and regenerative medicine, promoting global healthcare. Dr. Ken has secured numerous competitive grants and authored many high-impact publications.
